Education runs in my blood
I come from a family of educators — teachers and principals. Teaching isn't just what I do online, it's who I am. Making complex things simple is in my DNA.

I didn't take the straight path — and that's the point. Every detour taught me something I use every day.

I didn't take the straight path — and that's the point. Every detour taught me something I use every day.
My story
I grew up in Los Angeles and moved to Arizona to go to college at Arizona State. I majored in business — not computer science, not engineering. Business. I wanted to understand how companies actually work before I ever tried to build technology for them.
After that I went back for a Master's in cybersecurity. Not because I wanted to be a security analyst — but because I was fascinated by what it takes to build applications that are actually safe. That combination of business thinking and security mindset shaped everything I've done since.
I worked my way through engineering roles at Ticketmaster, WebPT, and USAA — building transaction-heavy systems, healthcare platforms, and analytics infrastructure. Then I joined Forbes, where I became an Engineering Director in my early 30s. I led platform engineering, rolled out AI tooling across the company, and helped build systems that served over 100 million monthly users.
But the thing that stuck with me wasn't the title. It was realizing that the best ideas die when nobody can explain them clearly. I come from a family of educators — teachers and principals. Teaching is in my DNA. So I started creating content.
Now I'm going all in. I'm building People In Tech — advising companies on AI adoption, partnering with brands, and creating content that makes complex technology feel approachable. At the same time, I'm building my first startup, EchoCart — an AI shopping agent that's rethinking how people buy online.
What I stand for
I come from a family of educators — teachers and principals. Teaching isn't just what I do online, it's who I am. Making complex things simple is in my DNA.
If you can't explain it to the whole room, you don't understand it well enough. I build content and systems with that same standard.
I share what I'm learning as I go — the wins, the mistakes, and the stuff nobody talks about. That honesty is why brands and audiences trust me.
When I'm not working
Honestly my favorite activity. I think best on my feet — long walks through Arizona are where the ideas come from.
Lifelong hooper. Pickup games keep me competitive and sharp.
Kettlebells, barbell work, CrossFit-style training. Health and wellness is a non-negotiable.
Trail runs and neighborhood miles. Moving is how I decompress.
Most of my time is with family, friends, and my mom. They keep me grounded.
This is home. I came here for college and never left. I'm building my impact here.
